Thalle
crustacé épisubstratique, mince à ± épais, aréolé, aréoles contigues, ±
planes à ± convexes, lisses, gris-brun pâle.
Photosymbiote :
algue verte (autre que trentépohlia).
Chimie :
thalle K+ jaune faible.
Apothécies
:
nombreuses, cryptolécanorines, immergées à ± à la surface du thalle mais
jamais proéminantes, rebord thallin fin et entier, disque plan à à peine
convexe, brun-noir +/- foncé, épithécium brun.
Spores par 8 brunes, uniseptées, Mischoblastia-type pouvant
évoluer vers Pachysporaria-type, ontogénèse de type A, 16,4-20,5
x 9,5-11,1 µm (mesures : 16,4x9,6 / 20,5x9,5 / 19,3x11,1 µm).
Habitat :
Saxicole, sur roches silicatées basiques ou neutres, principalement
éruptives, calcifuge, subneutrophile ou neutrophile,
mésophile ou modérément xérophile, astégophile, héliophile, plutôt
thermophile, héminitrophile.
De l’étage mésoméditerranéen à l’étage
montagnard inférieur. Ombroclimats subhumide et humide
Espèce assez rare,
potentiellement menacée.
